Valley Park, Kansas City, Missouri What impressed me about this larger than life statute, created by sculptor A. Phimister Proctor in 1927, was the tribute paid to pioneer women. As I contemplated the important role they played in family life and the hardships they endured, it seems appropriate that this special tribute should sit on top of a hill in view of the Liberty Memorial. |
