| Four Peaks Wilderness, Arizona Four Peaks Mountain is located in the center of Four Peaks Wilderness, 20 air miles northeast of Apache Junction. It overlooks Apache and Roosevelt Lakes and is at the southern end of the Matazal Mountains. The tallest peak is 7,657 feet tall. In the winter of 2006 when I captured this image everyone was amazed with the amount of snow on the mountains, not the norm for southern Arizona. It was the focal point of conversation and there was even a feature article in the local paper. I had a grand time looking for just the right shot! |
