| Balanced Rock, Arches National Park, Moab,
Utah Balanced Rock as with others in Arches National park made me feel like I was very small indeed, smaller than my 5' 2". To get a feel for just how massive this formation is try standing underneath or up close to the rock as I did. Perhaps you are asking yourself, just how big is it anyway? The answer to that question according to the guidebook is the rock weighs as much as 1,600 full size cars! The estimated weight is 3,577 tons or over 7,000,000 pounds. Any way you look at it, it truly is a balancing act. |
