Powell, Arizona/Utah, Page, Arizona Lake Powell is 186 Miles long with 1,960 miles of shoreline. The shoreline is longer than the entire west coast of the continental United States. It is the second largest man-made lake in the United States. Although the dam is in Arizona the greater portion of this magnificent body of water is in Utah. I found myself in another world once we left the marina aboard the park's tour boat. The fact that there were many other visitors just like me did not diminish this feeling at all. The water was such a gorgeous greenish blue that it almost takes your breath away. The red rock formations along the way and the clear blue sky likewise contribute their own kind of grandeur to this picture perfect retreat. I was absolutely enthralled with it all. No doubt in my mind that this is "Life at its Best!" |
