1877-1948 Alta Mining Town, Gold King Mine operated here from 1877-1948: At first, I did not realize this was a miner's boarding house. Secondly, I thought it was on private property because of the fence. Then I observed a tour jeep with sightseers viewing the building, so I decided to get a closer look. I am so glad I did. We have some awesome beauty and fascinating history in this nation of ours. It fuels the passion for me to see more. |
