| Uncompahgre River, Ridgway, Colorado We had a wonderful time at Ridgway State Park in 2006. To observe the Uncompahgre River and its surrounding scenery, all I had to do was walk a short distance to an overlook. From this vantage point I could see fishermen and children in the slower moving portions of the river and yet in other spots rapidly moving torrents of water. The contrast was fascinating especially since I derive great pleasure from water and the energy it contains. When I looked through the lens to capture this scene there were other people around. However, I felt like I was in my own little world, just me and my camera. |
